The Black Bear room is booked Feb 16-19. The Grizzly Bear Family Suite is booked Feb 14-19. All other dates are available.

Arcturus Retreat has 2 rooms, Black Bear Room and Grizzly Bear Room, which each offer queen bed, ensuite washroom and private deck. The Grizzly Bear Room can be expanded to a 2 bedroom / 2 bathroom family suite which can accommodate 4 people. All guests enjoy a fully furnished living room, dining room, spacious outdoor decks and hot tub.

TERMS:

• Reservations require 50% deposit at the time of booking
• The balance is due upon your arrival.
• Cancellations received 121 days or more in advance of your arrival date will have their deposits refunded less a $50 / night administration fee.
• Cancellations 120 days through to date of your arrival date will forfeit their deposits.

We are fully booked from Feb 11 - 18, 2010. Room 13 1/2 is booked from Feb 19 - 22, 2010

We have 3 rooms of varying sizes and prices. We charge 5% GST on top of all prices listed. We have a 3-night minimum during from Jan 15 to March 31. We may modify that if we're not fully booked.

TERMS:

• 50% non-refundable deposit at time of booking
• Balance payable 30 days before arrival
• No refund if cancelled in less than 30 days

We host one private and luxurious suite for 2 guests. We do prefer two guests for a more private setting, although we can expand to 4 guests with shared facilities.

TERMS:

• 50% deposit required.
• A full refund if you cancel before 60 days of your reservation date, minus $50.00 for administration fees.
• If you cancel less than 60 days of your reservation date, sorry, your deposit will be lost and you will be charged for your full stay. However, if we book your room for that date(s), your deposit will be refunded, minus $50.00 for administration fees.

Both rooms are booked for the first 6 days of the games. Rooms have queen beds and the Vista View has an additional double sofa bed. Both B&B wing rooms are booked for February 15th through the 19th.

TERMS:

• 2010 Olympics Reservations Policies
• A written reply to a confirmation of reservation request is required within 48 hours or the reservation is cancelled.
• A non-refundable first night deposit will be charged to your credit card when the reservation is confirmed.
• Payment in full is required to secure your booking and is automatically processed on your credit card of record on November 13, 2009.
• Any reservation will be cancelled if we are not able to process payment for the full value of the reservation, unless an alternate credit card is provided prior to November 13, 2009.
• No refunds for any cancellations unless reserved dates can be rebooked.

Earliest ferry 06:20 am - Last ferry departs from Horseshoe Bay to Gibsons at 11:00 pm

The ferry ride is 40 minutes (plus loading) between Horseshoe Bay and Langdale or v.v. and it takes approximately 1.5 hours to drive to Whistler from the ferry terminal on that side of Horseshoe Bay. Getting into downtown Vancouver takes about 20 minutes, depending on traffic. Some alpine events** will be held at Cypress Mountain ** which is close to the ferry terminal, off the highway into central Vancouver. Tourism BC assures us there will be shuttles to Whistler and Vancouver events. Ferry passenger tickets are just $10 round trip at this time (2009) and a car and driver is around $35 - 50 round trip, depending on the season and discount program. Additional passengers in the car are the same as walk-on passengers, $10 each.

You can take a Malaspina bus at the airport around 2 PM and ride it onto the ferry all the way here. It arrives around 5 PM. Going the other way, it leaves around 11 AM and arrives at the airport around 2 PM. There are mountain tours and cross country skiing available locally. Most of the homes in the region are located along the coastline where it is generally 4 to 10 degrees Celsius in February. Hiking and kayaking are popular activities and we have one of the largest artisan communities in Canada. There are good restaurants and interesting shops to see as well.

• All freestyle skiing and snowboarding events will be held at Cypress Mountain in North Vancouver
• Horseshoe Bay is connected to the entire Metro Vancouver public transportation system,
• 2010 Winter Games event tickets allow for free public transportation across the entire TransLink system on the day of the ticketed event
• The Olympic bus network will provide motorcoach transportation to both Whistler and Cypress Mountain to event ticket holders at those sights.
